In 1898, the Roseville Pottery acquired the Clark Stoneware Company eleven miles away in Zanesville, Ohio and moved some of their operations to Zanesville. |

| Roseville
continued to successfully produce beautiful pottery for many years.
During World War II, both labor and materials were in short supply.
After the war, inexpensive foreign imports and competition from
American potteries made business difficult for Roseville. In 1954 the
Roseville Pottery company was sold. The dies, stock, and trademark were
acquired by New England Ceramics of Connecticut. The above information
is from Roseville in All Its Splendor by
Jack and Nancy Bomm.
