| Lenox has been making beautiful china for over a century. The company opened in 1889 as The Ceramic Art Company of Trenton, New Jersey. It made fine American Belleek wares. Walter Scott Lenox, who was a partner in The Ceramic Art Company, acquired full ownership in 1894. The name was changed to Lenox, Inc. in 1906. |

| Walter
Scott Lenox perfected the elegant, creamy ivory china that is now
synonomous with the Lenox name. Lenox was the first American china to
grace a president's table. President and Mrs. Wilson commissioned an
official state service in 1918. Four other presidents have ordered Lenox dinnerware services for use in the White House. |
