| The Jewel Tea Company introduced it's Autumn Leaf pattern in 1933. The pattern was a premium to Jewel Tea's customers, intended to thank them for their loyalty. The pottery items in this pattern were produced exclusively for Jewel Tea by the Hall China Company, and were marked "tested and approved by Mary Dunbar, Jewel Homemakers Institute". |

China's Autumn Leaf was discontinued in 1976, however some items were
also produced in 1978. Most of the 1978 items included the year 1978 in
the backstamp, so are easily identified. Additional limited edition
items in the Autumn Leaf pattern have been produced for China
Specialties, a company that focuses on marketing distinct new shapes to
go with popular older patterns. |
